THE PICTURES ON THIS PAGE WERE TAKEN IN NOVEMBER, 2006 |
We had a little visitor last month. Her name is Lola. During the 3 weeks that she stayed at our house while her "Mommy" was in the hospital, Lola also became one of "The Dogs In My Life". |
Tara is the oldest of the crew. She recently turned 14 years old. Tara is still in very good health considering all the years she has behind her. Except for turning whiter everyday, she still acts like a young pup most of the time. |
Dusty is probably very near Tara's age. She found her way into our home in February of 1996 and was estimated to be 2-3 years old at that time. Dusty also must have access to an eternal "Fountain of Youth" because she just never seems to age at all. |
Reno is 11 years old. He had some problems with arthritis earlier this year, but we have it under control now with medication. Reno loves to play ball and also play with squeaky toys when he's lucky enough to get one for himself. |
Serena is also 11 years old now. She also has a few problems with arthritis but is taking the same medication as Reno and seems to be doing very well. She still gathers whatever is mine and hides it under the bed where she sleeps at night. |
Benji was born in 1996 making him 10 years old. He has only been living with us for a couple years now and is very happy to be here. In these pictures he is showing off his most recent haircut. He's getting ready for the holidays! |
This is DeeDee who is now 9 1/2 years old. Where has the time gone? These are the only 2 pictures of DeeDee that you'll see on this page. She still absolutely HATES to have her picture taken and hides whenever she sees a camera. |
Bailey is 8 years old. She has lived with us for almost a year now. She joins Rusty and Jennie in their love of the swimming pool and squeaky toys. Bailey is mother to Holly, Sarah, and Jennie. |
Holly (left) and Sarah (right) are now 6 years old. They are the two most inactive Jack Russels I have ever met. We call them our "matching couch potatoes". As you can see, no matter how many baths we give Sarah, she'd still rather look like "pig pen". |
Angel (left) and April (right) are now 5 1/2 years old. They are DeeDee's two daughters. No one can believe that they are sisters! Angel is the Powderpuff Chinese Crested and April is hairless like her mother. |
Next we have Rusty (left) and Tucker (right) who are checking in at 4 years of age. The two brothers are very different indeed. Rusty spends a lot of his time swimming and Tucker likes to play with the water hose. Tucker has recently had some back problems that are making him much less active than his brother. |
Max (left) and his sister Amber (right) are going to be 3 years old in January. They enjoy spending their time lying in the sunshine or playing with their toys or with each other. Max is a big boy and outweighs his little sister by over 10 pounds. |
Last but not least we have Jennie, the baby of the family. Jennie is 2 years old. Unlike her couch potato older sisters, Sarah and Holly, Jennie likes spending time in the pool with Rusty and her mother, Bailey. Her most prized possession is a pair of rolled up dirty socks that she carries all over the place with her. |
Now that you've met everyone, let's see what some of them are up to! |
Ok, first we have the squeaky toy by the water dish. Not a problem - YET! |
Next, we have the squeaky toy IN the water dish. Hmmmmm! |
Now the fun can begin. First, push the toy up and down in the water to fill with water. |
Second, pull it out and test it for volume of water. Serena's thinking, "Oh-Oh". |
Next step - squeeze all the water out on the carpet......... |
.......and then on the bedspread......and then..... |
.....dump it on top of the clothes in the laundry basket. Glad those clothes were getting ready to go IN the washing machine. But wait....Mom put the clothes in the machine and left my toy in the basket. Now what do I do? Jennie, HELP ME! |
WOW, that was a close call. Now I can go back and fill it up again! |
NOW, ON TO THE SQUEAKY TOY SAGA, PART 2 |
